Natural Merlot blend

Damien Bonnet is the visionary force behind Domaine de Brin, an estate located in the heart of the historic Gaillac region. Here, he farms 12 hectares of biodynamic vineyards surrounded by peaceful oak forests.

Damien's philosophy is rooted in the belief that the integrity of a wine is a direct reflection of the health of the soil. The 'Vendemia' is grown on south-facing clay-limestone slopes at an altitude of 290 meters. To maintain the health of the vines, Damien utilizes the Poussard method of pruning to respect the natural sap flow, along with natural cover cropping and green manure during the winter months.

This 2021 vintage is a vibrant expression of Gaillac's heritage, crafted mainly from the local Duras variety. The wine is built with transparency and purity in mind, beginning with a manual harvest at optimal maturity. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and eight days of maceration with little intervention (pumping over two to three times, with no punching down).

The wine is aged in concrete tanks with sulfur-free maturation and natural clarification without fining. It is bottled without filtration, with only a very little sulphiting added just before bottling to ensure the wine remains stable while preserving its "living" energy.

It is a medium-bodied red that delivers a beautiful mid-palate filled with blackberries and blueberries, grounded by a distinct peppery spice and a fine, graphite-like mineral tension—a wine that feels structured and intentional
