Shipping policy
At Amor Fati Wines, we take care to ensure your wine is packed securely and delivered in good condition. We deliver within Australia only and do not ship internationally.
Local delivery: Shepparton and surrounding areas
We offer local delivery to eligible addresses within approximately 30 kilometres of Shepparton, Victoria.
- Cost: Calculated at checkout based on the delivery postcode
- Delivery schedule: Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm
- No local deliveries: Sundays, public holidays, Good Friday or Christmas Day
Available delivery options and charges will be displayed at checkout.
Age verification
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
For a first order, the person who placed the order may be required to receive the delivery personally and show valid photo identification. We may request proof of age for any delivery.
We will not complete a delivery if suitable proof of age cannot be provided, the recipient appears intoxicated, or we reasonably believe that the alcohol may be supplied to a person under 18.
Authority to leave
After your age has been verified, you may be able to request authority to leave your order.
We will only leave an order when permitted by law and when we are satisfied that the location is secure and the order will not be accessible to a person under 18. If these conditions are not met, the order will not be left unattended.
Australia Post delivery
Orders outside our local delivery area are sent to eligible Australian addresses using Australia Post.
Our estimated delivery times after dispatch are:
- Metropolitan areas in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland: 2–5 business days
- Regional areas: 3–7 business days
- Remote locations: Up to 10 business days
These timeframes are estimates only, not guaranteed delivery dates. Delays can occur because of carrier disruptions, extreme weather, public holidays, high-volume periods or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Tracking information will be provided when available.
Shipping charges
Our standard postal delivery charges are:
- Standard shipping: $10
- Express shipping: $20
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
The available shipping methods and final delivery charge for your address will be shown at checkout before payment.
Selecting express shipping gives your order the faster available carrier service after dispatch, but it does not guarantee delivery on a particular date.
Delivery addresses and service availability
We currently deliver only to eligible addresses within Australia.
Delivery availability is determined by the address and postcode entered at checkout. Some remote locations, restricted areas or addresses that cannot legally or safely receive alcohol may not be eligible for delivery.
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery address. Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.
Delivery requirements
An adult aged 18 or over must be available to receive an order unless a lawful and approved authority-to-leave arrangement applies. The recipient may be required to show valid photo identification.
We may refuse or withhold delivery if:
- Suitable proof of age cannot be provided
- The recipient appears intoxicated
- We reasonably believe the alcohol may be supplied to a person under 18
- Leaving the order would be unsafe or unlawful
If delivery cannot be completed because no eligible recipient is available, the carrier’s collection or redelivery process will apply. Additional redelivery or return-to-sender charges may apply where permitted by law.
Missed, delayed or returned deliveries
If tracking shows an unexpected delay, please contact us at hello@amorfatiwines.com.au so we can assist with the carrier enquiry.
If an order is returned to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, delivery was refused, or no eligible recipient was available, we will contact you to discuss redelivery. Additional delivery charges may apply where appropriate and permitted by law.
Damaged, missing or incorrect deliveries
Please inspect your order after delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, is missing, is incorrect or is not as described, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at hello@amorfatiwines.com.au. Include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs where possible.
Please retain the wine and its packaging until we have assessed the issue and provided instructions.
Approved remedies are handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.
Warm-weather shipping
Wine is sensitive to heat. During periods of high temperature, we may delay dispatch, change the shipping method or use protective packaging where appropriate.
If we need to delay dispatch to protect your wine, we will contact you.
Although some conditions during transit may be outside our reasonable control, nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Wine storage after delivery
Before dispatch, Amor Fati Wines stores its wine under controlled conditions at approximately 14°C.
After delivery, customers are responsible for storing and handling the wine appropriately. Wine should be protected from excessive heat, direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations.
Deterioration caused by unsuitable storage or handling after delivery is not considered a product fault. This does not affect your rights where wine was faulty, damaged or not of acceptable quality when supplied.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
