About us
From the Toolbelt to the Bottle: The Amor Fati Story
I spent my life as a carpenter. I know what it means to work with my hands and I know the difference between a job done for a paycheck and a job done with integrity. I started Amor Fati Wines because I wanted to apply that same level of craftsmanship to something alive.
In carpentry, you respect the raw materials. If the timber has a knot or a grain that's a bit wild, you work with it—you don’t hide it under plastic. Natural wine is the same. It’s about getting out of the way and letting the fruit speak for itself.
What We Sell: Living Wine
We specialize in "Living Wines"—bottles made with zero shortcuts.
-
No Chemicals: Our growers don't use synthetic sprays or fertilisers. The soil is kept healthy and biodiverse by using biodynamic and organic practises.
-
Low Intervention: We look for winemakers who use indigenous yeasts and minimal sulfur.
-
Transparency: You are getting a product that hasn't been "fixed" in a lab. It’s honest, raw, and reflects the season it was grown in.
Why Buy From Us?
I am a wine merchant, not a winemaker. My job is to source the best small-batch releases from producers who care more about the soil health of the vineyard and quality of the wine than mass-market sales.
The name Amor Fati means "Love of One's Fate". To me, it’s about owning your path—even when it's a hard pivot from a lifelong trade into a new business. We bring that same "no-nonsense" approach to every bottle we select for the shop.
Straight talk. Real wine. No additives.
