Natural Pinot Noir, Burgundy
From the village of Gevrey-Chambertin on the Côte d’Or, this wine comes from the En Vosne vineyard, where vines are close to 90 years old. Such age in the vineyard brings natural concentration, depth, and structure to the wine, giving it both elegance and power.
Made by Domaine Derain, one of Burgundy’s pioneers of organic and natural farming, this Pinot Noir is vinified with minimal intervention, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak clearly. The 2019 vintage shows dark cherry fruit, earth, spice, and fine tannins, with a long and balanced finish.
Quantities are extremely limited due to a difficult growing season and low yields, making this a rare and collectible bottle. A complex and refined Burgundy that offers both immediate charm and ageing potential.
